Big Data Helps Cultivate Football Back-up Talents, Chinese Football Association Establishes Data Tracking Report of Elite Youth Players

According to the website of the Chinese Football Association (CFA), the CFA has organized a training camp for young elite players of different ages this year. The basic information, physical data and game data of the players participating in the camp have been collected and recorded. It is reported that the CFA will establish the data of elite players of ten age groups from 2001 to 2010 by tracking the talented players for a long time and recording their growth to provide a sufficient selection base for the national teams of different ages.

This year, the CFA organized training camps for elite male young players of age groups 2005 / 2006 and 2007 / 2008 and for female players U13, U14 and U15. The basic information, physical data and game data of all participating players have been collected and entered in the intelligent big data analysis platform in the CFA Youth Training Digital Management System. The CFA will track the gifted players and record their growth for a long time.

Each player participating in the training camp will receive a detailed personal data tracking report, including overall evaluation, suggestions, five-linked competence evaluation, test data for each basic athletic ability, sports injury statistics, etc., which will provide a quantifiable reference for the subsequent targeted training and improvement of each player.

According to the statistics of two dimensions: coach evaluation and basic athletic ability test data, the personal data tracking report will help establish the selection and evaluation criteria in line with the current situation of trained young Chinese football talents. The intelligent big data analysis platform of the CFA can help fully grasp the current condition of young players of all age groups in China so that the training of back-up talents will be more targeted.

The China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services 2021 (CIFTIS) will be held in China National Convention Center and Shougang Park from September 2th to September 7th.
