In electromagnetic riveting (EMR), the deformation mode of materials is different from that of quasi-static loading, so it has advantages that other methods can not replace for forming some special materials. Compared with the ordinary riveting method, electromagnetic riveting has the advantages of high loading rate, fast forming of rivets and uniform expansion of the rivet rod. Therefore, the interference produced by this method is uniform and the fatigue life of the joint is long.
