Beijing Marco Polo Culture Industry Development Co.,Ltd. is a wholly-owned state-owned enterprise of Beijing Xianglong Assets Management Co., Ltd., founded in 2002, with a registered capital of 63,539,300 yuan. The main business project includes arts and crafts sales, and operation of Beijing Marco Polo Creative Cultural Industry Park. The Chinese time-honored brand  "Mao Long" is operated and managed under the company.

The origin of Marco Polo Shop, one of the earliest time-honored brands specializing in jewellery in Beijing, can be traced back to the last century. It was jointly funded by Mr. Jin Zhuoyun and Mr. Huang Xiangyu, and the British A.R.Porter participated in the operation, selling jewellery, jades and other Chinese crafts to the envoys and foreigners in China.

The two Chinese characters of “Mao Long” came from the transliteration of the name of Marco Polo, and at the same time symbolized the implication of flourishing and prosperity, the traditional congratulations used in Chinese business circle. The perfect integration of the two meanings has made the old shop name of Marco Polo Shop with profound cultural background and long-standing history well-known both at home and abroad.

Former US president Mr. George H.W.Bush visited Beijing Sanjianfang "Marco Polo Store” three times during his stay in China from 1974 to 1975, and wrote the famous saying in his diary-“Climbing the Great Wall, Enjoying Beijing Roast Duck, Shopping at Sanjianfang, Three Musts for Visitors in Beijing”.

Today, Beijing Marco Polo Culture Industry Development Co.,Ltd. has formed an operating system,  with the Mao Long brand as the core, three platforms of cultural industry, bonded warehousing service, and traditional crafts marketing as the framework, five sectors with creative cultural industry park operation, bonded warehouse construction, Mao Long product sale, cultural derivatives research, and exhibition business as the contents.
