Founded in 1985 and headquartered in Beijing, China HP is the first Sino-US high-tech joint venture in China. At present, HP has thousands of employees in China, and has established branches and offices in Hangzhou, Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shanghai, Hainan, Chongqing and Wuhan. In addition, HP has established more than 1,800 service outlets in over 1,200 cities and counties[], with 400 online engineers and 3,100 service outlet engineers nationwide. HP’s extensive business scope and advanced technologies have established HP’s leading position in the printing and personal systems market in China.

Over the past 30 years since entering China, HP has been adhering to the strategy of “in China, and for China” and has grown together with the Chinese market. HP has not only been supportive of China’s policies, but has also gained opportunities for its own development. HP has a large-scale manufacturing business in China. The products are not only sold in the Chinese market but exported to overseas markets. With the largest laptop production base in Chongqing, HP is very supportive of the Belt and Road Initiative, and its products directly enter European markets through the new Sichuan-Europe railway. HP’s largest global printing factory is located in Weihai. By taking advantage of Weihai’s convenient coastal location, HP has opened up Southeast Asian transportation routes. In the meantime, HP continues to increase its investment in China to create and improve products and solutions suitable for China’s domestic market. In Shanghai, HP has established a R&D center for personal information system and printers to support localized products, and global product development in China. In Dalian, HP has a global support center to provide services for users in China and the Asia Pacific region.

Home printing

SME printing
